Ian and Allie are hands down one of the sweetest couples we’ve ever met. How effortlessly they interacted during their engagement session made it obvious that they are completely in love. And their wedding at The Springs Event Center was the perfect expression of that love.
One thing Allie and Ian want everyone to know is that their love for one another is an expression of their faith. And their faith was woven throughout the day. They each take time to pray with their attendants. We sang Come Thou Fount as a congregation. And Ian and Allie prayed together before taking communion.
My favorite part of Ian and Allie’s wedding was that they chose Philippians 2 as the reading for their ceremony.
“Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”
This verse is a great illustration of how Ian and Allie are not just to each other, but to everyone around them. And a great reminder to begin marriage. Humble yourself. Serve each other.
Their wedding was also personal to them. Allie wore her grandmother’s stole. Ian danced with his mom without an announcement for everyone to see. They used replicas of pieces from Pandemic, their favorite board game, as decoration for their reception.
Ian and Allie are such a genuine, loving, fun couple and their wedding was perfect.
