When we first met, Courtney described her wedding at Briscoe Manor as a country glam wedding. Sequins, soft pinks, more sequins, glitter, and cowboy boots were a few of the details she mentioned. These features were to be woven throughout all the details. Hunter’s boutonniere featured bullets and flowers. When we saw Briscoe Manor’s sweeping ranch-like venue, we were blown away by how gorgeous everything would be.
But more important than all the details of the country glam wedding day is the two families coming together. During their wedding, it was obvious how much each family loved Courtney and Hunter and were thrilled for them to be married. Both Courtney and Hunter’s mom brought meaningful gifts for Courtney and took the time to reassure her of their excitement for her and Hunter. Hunter and his mom shared a special moment before the whirlwind of the day for her to encourage him in this wonderful next step in life.
How They Met
How they met: “Hunter and I actually met for the first time in my backyard. Makayla was over staying the night and her boyfriend at the time came over with Hunter’s brother Tristen, shortly after Hunter showed up. I told Makayla that I thought he was so cute so obviously, she talked to her boyfriend and told him. SO days go by and black Friday rolls around and I get a Facebook message at about 3:30 or 4 am from Hunter (he was working at Sears at the time) we talked about being awake so early and I told him I was going shopping and then to help Makayla wrap gifts at Bass Pro Shop. So we exchanged numbers and started texting. As days and months passed we continued to talk and Makayla and I were ALWAYS at Hunter’s hanging out with him and Makayla’s boyfriend at the time. Weeks passed and on February 14, 2013, he and I went to lunch before he had to go to work and he gave me a handmade Valentine and asked me to be his girlfriend! We were inseparable from then on!”
Briscoe Manor pulled off this country glam wedding flawlessly. We loved shooting there because we had great support from their coordinator. She made sure Courtney took the time to have some extra photos taken right before the reception because the light was perfect and she would never have another chance to have these made. This is atypical for most wedding venues, who try to keep the day to their schedule only. We are thankful to have shot there, and we’d love to do it again!
